Background:
Uganda Youth Anti-AIDS Association (UYAAS) is one of
the pioneer Youth HIV/AIDS-fighting organizations in
Uganda. Formed in 1991, UYAAS is a Non-Governmental
Organization (NGO) that was registered in 1992 with
the Ministry of Internal Affairs' NGO Board under the
NGO Statute of 1989 with the mandate of involving all
youths in the fight ' HIV/AIDS, STDs and improving on
the Adolescents and young people's Reproductive Health. |

UYAAS has developed and communicated
a clear vision and mission along with specific strategies to
accomplish their mission of responding to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
As a result, they have experienced many successes in the fight
against HIV/AIDS.
